National Pool Lifeguard Training & Lifesaving Course's


When you join a course at Everybody First Aid & Lifeguard Training, you can start using your new skills right away. We believe in only teaching necessary content, which means everything you learn will be practical and easy to apply. NATIONAL POOL LIFEGUARD QUALIFICATION (NPLQ) 5 Day Course

Lifeguard Course Pre-Requisites  

Every candidate attending an NPLQ course must be 16-years-old at the time of taking the NPLQ final assessment and be able to:

Jump/dive into deep water

Swim 50 meters in less than 60 seconds

Swim 100 meters continuously on front and back in deep water

Tread water for 30 seconds

Surface dive to the floor of the pool

Climb out unaided without ladder/steps and where the pool design permits

Course content
The NPLQ covers all elements of Pool Rescue Techniques, Lifeguarding Theory, First Aid and CPR. The course is physically demanding and will include swimming to set times, lifting casualties and diving to the deepest part of the swimming pool. Training and assessment for the NPLQ are in three sections and all must be successfully passed to attain the qualification.

NATIONAL RESCUE AWARD FOR SWIMMING TEACHERS AND COACHES (NRASTC)

Cost £100 Per Person

Prices inclusive of VAT

It is suitable for teachers working in a wide range of swimming pools where the water is deeper than the teachers’ standing depth and meets the Individual sites risk assessment.

Course Content - NRASTC
Section 6th edition new candidate (14 hours) & 7th edition new candidate (12 hours)
1 – The Teacher, swimming pool and class management
2 – Intervention rescue and emergency action
3 – CPR and first aid
Plus external assessment

National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches LIGHT (NRASTC LIGHT)

Cost £75 Per Person

Prices inclusive of VAT

Suitable for teachers working in a wide range of swimming pools, including pools where the water is deeper than the teacher’s standing depth.

Course Content -
NRASTC LIGHT, Section 6th edition new candidate (7 hours) & 7th edition new candidate (6 hours)
1 – The Teacher, swimming pool and class management
2 – Intervention rescue and emergency action
3 – CPR and first aid
Plus external assessment

Aquatic Therapy Shallow Pool Rescue Award (ATSPRA)

Cost £75 Per Person

Prices inclusive of VAT

ATSPRA is a supervision and rescue qualification for therapists, teachers and support staff working on the poolside or in the water during activities such as, aquatic therapy or therapeutic exercise/play

Course Content - ATSPRA

Section New candidate (7 hours)

1 – The Teacher/therapist, risk assessment and pool safety

2 – Intervention, rescue, and emergency action
